Jay, August 1981
Jay began working at Brooks Shorter Motor Co. in 1971, that was the Mercedes Benz dealer on 17th and Baltic Ave., Va. Beach back then.   I was trained by top mechanics.  When Brooks folded I worked for Doug Davenport, BMW, who bought that dealership from Buck.  Then I worked for Howard Nixon for a short period on British and Subaru, I then worked at Lynnhaven Motors Co., on Mercedes,  and the list goes on I worked for many shops.  I kept up on fine automobiles I'd say from the time I was 8.  I even went to Bosch Fuel Injection school in the 90's with Larry and did the Air Conditioning training to become certified around 1994.  Did I say I love these cars?  Jay is the man.  He can remove every thing and put it back the same way.  His experience and expert ability is exceptional.  He's been with Larry the longest since 1981 and has been working on cars since 1971.  Everyone likes Jay and if you worked here you'll see why he's an asset and important member of the team.  I've watched him work on this MB wagon after the engine was removed.  He's  making final adjustments below.
